Live Classroom – Creating the space delivered by Nic Golightly and Rebecca Booth for Members and Non-Members

Live Classroom Series for 2022-2023

We are delighted that Associate Artist Nic Golightly and Therapeutic Social Worker Rebecca Booth will be hosting a live classroom on Creating the space.

Rebecca Booth is a Therapeutic Social Worker, Systemic Practitioner and Trainer. Rebecca is passionate about narrative work with children and families and has undertaken therapeutic life story work with cared for children in various settings for a number of years.

Nic Golightly is an experienced graphic designer and visual artist with a predominantly participatory practice. She is also a Co-Director of artist-led arts organisation, Navigator North. Her work specialises in playful techniques for engagement and creative development, with collaboration and co-creation essential to its success.

Rational Aim

  • In this session you will learn about the Creative Life Story Work – ‘All About Me‘ Tier journey through the eyes of Blue Cabin Associate Artist Nic Golightly and Therapeutic Social Worker Rebecca Booth.
  • Nic and Rebecca will guide you through the practicalities of facilitating sessions with care experienced young people, what arose in the sessions they co-facilitated together and the expected (and unexpected) outcomes.
  • Through sharing practical sessions and the theory behind them, this session will help you to understand how you too can feel assisting young people in exploring their own life stories through creativity and play.

Experiential Aim

  • A dynamic and fun demonstration of learning through practical and theory-based presentations and creative sessions.
