Creative Life Story Work live classroom
Live Classroom

The impact of parental separation

Are divorce and separation inherently harmful to children? And how can children fare best, post-separation? Facilitated by Natalie Wyatt.

Tickets cost: £50 for non-members

Natalie Wyatt

Social worker and trainer Natalie Wyatt will explore the view that divorce and separation are not inherently harmful to children and will look at some of the ways that children fare best, post-separation.

This Live Classroom is for you if you work with, care for, or have an interest in, children experiencing parental separation. It will be especially valuable if you work in a setting where parental separation is so common or ‘everyday’ that you haven’t yet been given the space to reflect on its role in your work.

What will I take away from this Live Classroom?

  • An understanding of the harmful impact of intense, frequent or unresolved post-separation conflict on children
  • An opportunity to hear from a young person with lived experience of divorce and separation
  • A chance to connect with your peers.
