Using eco-maps with children and young people

Eco-maps allow children to explore the people, relationships and organisations in their world through a visual tool.

Eco-maps are a brilliant way for social workers to explore children and young people’s thoughts, wishes and feelings, as well as potentially supporting them to identify any questions they might have as part of their life story work.

Eco-maps allow children to explore the people, relationships and organisations in their world through a visual tool. This is a strength-based way of identifying strengths and anything they might want to change.

Here, Therapeutic Social Worker, Rebecca Booth, explains how you can use eco-maps during Creative Life Story Work.
