Learn how to use Think-Feel-Do sensory bears, from two of the practitioners that created them.
Led by Karen Vance and Amy Payne
Tickets: free for members, £50 for non-members.

Think-Feel-Do bears are a versatile therapeutic tool, designed to help individuals of all ages understand and communicate their stories through the lens of thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Karen Vance and Amy Payne will explain how the bears originated from the 2016 Australian Childhood Trauma Conference and were inspired by Richard Rose’s Therapeutic Life Story Work.
You will learn how this tool can aid in emotional regulation, imaginative play, and storytelling, and fostering connection and communication in trauma-informed practices.
This session is suitable for professionals working with children, adolescents, and adults in therapeutic, educational, or caregiving roles.
It is a fabric bear filled with rice or beads and decorated with symbols representing thinking (brain), feeling (heart), and doing (hands). Their creation was inspired by storytelling and the critical importance of co-regulation.
You can read more about Think-Feel-Do bears in this toolkit.
Participants are encouraged to bring paper, cardboard, scissors and materials to make marks on the paper. If you have a Think Feel Do Bear already, bring them along! We will be practicing in small groups using the paper/card or material bears.
No prior experience is required, and an interest in trauma-informed tools and creative approaches to therapy is recommended.
