Live Classroom

Taking a strengths-based approach

A lived experience, strengths-based approach to understanding the connection between early life experiences and later life outcomes. Facilitated by Mary-anne Hodd.

Tickets cost: £50 for non-members

Mary-anne Hodd

Care-experienced teacher, trainer and speaker Mary-anne Hodd will demonstrate a lived experience, strengths-based understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their impact on later life outcomes.

Through Mary-anne’s personal ACEs journey, you will gain insights into protective factors and compensatory measures, relational healing, and therapeutic care approaches that prioritise the child’s voice and potential for positive change.

You’ll hear a balance of lived experience and theoretical perspectives on a strengths-based approach to ACEs, focusing on individual and collective strengths rather than deficits.
